Making Waves

Location: Felixstowe, Suffolk

100:50 was conceived as an art project that would encourage local participation and comment. Located on a beach in Suffolk and timed to coincide with a regular local art event, the installation was always going to promote comment, be it positive or negative. Its location was such that anyone walking along the promenade could see the installation.  Information on the project was available on a board near the promenade and on the day of the local art show a talk was given by one of the purplesnail artists.

To keep people informed about the continuing project daily updates were given on the purplesnail website, people were encouraged to give feedback and express their views both on climate change and on the installation.

During the management of the project this film was made covering the conception and implementation of the installation, this film will be used alongside an education pack that will be distributed to local schools in the Suffolk area.
